Boney M. was an influential German disco group formed in 1974 by producer Frank Farian, known for hits such as “Daddy Cool” and “Rasputin.” Although the original members were of Caribbean origin (Liz Mitchell, Marcia Barrett, Maizie Williams, and Bobby Farrell), Farian was the main creative mastermind and vocalist of their studio hits. The group achieved international fame in the 1970s, selling millions of records and becoming known for their vibrant disco style and live performances.
